Q: Do you give free estimates?

A:  Yes, we do offer project estimates at no charge but do pre-qualify anyone requesting the estimate. We want to make certain that the potential client matches our customer profile, and are not just price shopping. We offer value, not the lowest price.

Q:  Does HOLT have the lowest prices?

A:  Absolutely not. Unfortunately "painters" are a "dime a dozen," and nationally, 80% of all painting contractors in the U.S. will be out of business in the first 8 years of operation. Just look in the yellow pages from year to year and notice the changes.

Q: What geographic area does HOLT work?

A: The majority of work we do is within 30 miles from Syracuse. We do travel farther for larger commercial projects.

Flooring FAQ's

Q: If a client wants to apply floor coatings themselves, will HOLT provide just the prep work?

A:  Absolutely. We are happy to help a client in anyway we can.

Q: Does HOLT provide shot-blasting?

A: Yes. Shot-blasting is the recommended surface preparation method in the flooring industry.

Waterproofing FAQ's

Q: Will TUFF-N-DRI Waterproofing work on the inside of my basement to make it waterproof?

A: No. TUFF-N-DRI is designed to be applied on the exterior side of your foundation wall. It is best to stop moisture on the outside and not allowing it to enter the basement wall.

Q: If I have a home with a damp or leaking basement and want comfortable moisture free living space, is there any way TUFF-N-DRI can help me?

A: Yes, but not easily. It would require digging around your foundation wall with a backhoe to expose the entire wall. The wall could then be cleaned, evaluated, and TUFF-N-DRI installed. After, installation, backfilling, and landscaping would be required.
